Morning moon children. In depression you get physical symptoms such as lethargy and tiredness which lead to changes in behaviour
Ive not posted for a bit due to having a low. I felt tired, lethargic, suicidal and unable to cope lasted about ten days. Increased my lamotragine and began to feel better after three days
To get me through used CBT techbiques and interviened at behaviour change due to depression and tried to break lethargy spiral. Deoression and cbt thoughts, mood, physical symptoms and behaviour.
I get a lot of bodily reactions / physical symptoms when depressed so usually try and change my behaviour hence cognitive behavioural therapy
When low i have a tendancy to linger in bed, poor personal hygiene, and cant cop me with housework. I feel tired, lethargic and unmotivated
I set small realistic goals taking into account my low mood. Small and achievable so i dont feel overwhelmed
Keeping on top of home. 1-keep kitchen tidy and clean 2- bedroom tidy as i spend a lot of time in it 3-keep toilet clean
Personal hygiene goals 1- wash and brush teeth at least once a day 2- change loungewear after 2 days 3- bath at least once a week
Do somthing physical as exercise helps release endorphins a natural mood booster i walk, cycle and or visit family. Not far and not too long anything to break lethargy spiral and not linger in bed
These small goals and changing my depressed behaviour help break the lethargy spiral. Will discuss this furthur when i focus on depression and depression management
