Coping strategies and my health and well being journey

Constantly fighting an invisible illness and actively employing coping strategies is exhausting in itself . So even when not low having recharging relaxing days is important

I am very productivity driven person so really need to look after my health well being . I measure myself by how much I achieve . Not the best standards to have when you have regula periods of being low . But it is part of who I am and I find it very difficult to change

Even when not low I do have breaks to focus on myself and to relax even the occasional duvet day . I relax by having bubble baths , doing beauty treatments , meditating and listening to music .

I really enjoy just chilling to music on an afternoon and evening and try to forget my to do list while I listen to my favourite radio shows and presenters

It is also very important that I look after my health and well being as good physical health helps you to have good mental health.  They are connected .

I try eat a very healthy diet and take aA to Z multivitamin and mineral and omega 369 supplements to ensure I get all my nutrients . It is well know food affects mood and promotes good mental health . I will be exploring this further eventually and look at the gut brain connection

At moment I am trying to exercise more . Again it is well know that it is good for  both anxiety and depression.  Will be exploring this more when I look more closely at my coping skills indepth

At moment try and go for a brisk walk at least three times a week . Managing to do this even when low and often walk more than this

Just started a free trial on yoga app as yet not done a yoga session but hope to start building this into my daily routine . It is good for toning , flexibility and relaxation as breathwork is involved

That’s all peeps night moon children
