I have discussed self harm qiute in depth but have really just touched the ice berg.

Coping strategies may reduce the impulse to self harm, but they don’t resolve the underlying causes. So the urge may keep resurfacing. Support from a trained compassionate therapist is often the key to lasting change and improvement. Therapy offers a safe place to explore painful emotions and other self harm triggers. Then begin identifying lasting solutions
